There are some people who are great singers. They are others who
are great musicians. There aren't that many people who are extremely
talented in BOTH playing a musical instrument AND singing. One of them
is DAVID CUDDY, the accompanist and Musical Director for "LOUNGE TV".
A resident of Norwood, Massachusetts (he lives a couple of miles from
where we tape our show, making it a quick and easy commute), David
has years of experience playing the keyboards. He's played the piano
at a number of fine restaurants and clubs in the Boston area, often with his own group-The David Cuddy Trio. He's
served as accompanist to solo singers and to singing groups. His
repetoire of songs he performs runs into the hundreds. And he also
adds his vocal touch as well.
We (the producers of "LOUNGE TV") first got to meet David while we
were working on our previous show,
"NOT QUITE LIVE". On a couple of occassions, David accompanied some of our
musical guests (including Joan Goodman, who's now a fellow regular on
"LOUNGE TV"). When we decided to launch "LOUNGE TV", we really wanted David
to join us as Musical Director, and thankfully, he agreed to do so!
Although most of David's performing on the show is accompaning Joan
Goodman's vocal numbers, you'll hear him display his singing talents
from time-to-time as well. He's one of the most versatile musicians
in the Boston area, and we're delighted to have him as part of our
show's "family" of performers.
